LAST CHANCE TO ENTER - FEW PLACES ONLY REMAINING!

Have you remembered to enter you car and team for the NMGP this year? Places are limited to only forty cars and the race is now nearly full. The last date for receiving entries is Sunday 1st July, which is only a month away now, but the last remaining places are likely to be gone long before that date. To avoid disappointment get your Entry Form in now.

Junior Race Cancelled

Regretfully, the NMGP organisers have had to make the decision to cancel the junior race, due to the low number of entries received. With only a few weeks to go and not enough entries received to make a viable race, it was felt it would be better to combine the junior and senior races before the senior race became too full. Entries for the senior race have, however, been exceptional and it has now nearly reached it's maximum number of forty cars. If you haven't made your entry yet you are advised to do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointing you team. Note that, even though the junior and senior races will be run together the juniors will continue to race for their own title and trophies. The junior teams will be individually advised of the decision shortly.

Draws to take place at the Pedal Car BBQ!

With so much going on during race day, the grid and pit draws have been moved and will now take place on the evening of  Thursday 5th July at the Pedal Grand Prix BBQ. The BBQ is being organised by Cliff Polton of Royce UK and will be held at the Royce UK factory at Unit 13f, Queensway, New Milton, just off Stem Lane. So, good food, beer and excellent company are not the only reasons to come along and enjoy yourself. You can also witness the draw and find out where you'll be on the grid in your race. THE 2007 NEW MILTON PEDAL CAR GRAND PRIX

15th July 2007

The organisers are proud to announce that the eagerly anticipated second New Milton Pedal Car Grand Prix will be run in 2007 on 15th July. The Grand Prix is being run on a biennial basis, alternating with Ringwood, who have been running the British Pedal Car Grand Prix for many years. The New Milton Grand Prix was first run in 2005 and attracted huge crowds to witness a spectacular race won by Ringwood team, Pattersons Banger, in the fast and wide streets of New Milton town centre.

If 2005 was fantastic, 2007 is set to be even better. The race entries for Ringwood last year were so high that some of the late entry cars were unable to book their place in the race. The New Milton organisers wish to avoid such a disappointment happening for competitors this year and are therefore proposing to run two races. The first morning race is proposed to be an hour long dash for junior teams of school age year 11 and under. This will be followed by a two hour marathon for adults during the afternoon (if pedal car racers can be called adults).
